Opéra de Paris to Present ‘Lohengrin’ in Concert Due to National Strike

The Opéra de Paris has announced a change for its Oct. 27 performance due to the National Strike.

The company said that “due to a nationwide strike affecting the cultural sector and involving some staff at the Paris Opera, the performance of the opera ‘Lohengrin‘ on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 pm will be given in a concert version.”

As a result, the company is proposing “a 50% partial refund or for those not wishing to attend the performance, the Paris Opera proposes a 100% refund.”

This will be the final performance of the run and it is set to star Kwangchul Youn, Piotr Beczala, Sinead Campbell Wallace, Ekaterina Gubanova, Shenyang, and Wolfgang Koch. Alexander Soddy conducts.
