Opéra de Paris Announces Cast Changes for ‘L’Elisir d’Amore’

Opéra de Paris has announced cast changes for its production of Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore.”

The company noted that Sydney Mancasola is currently ill and will not be able to sing the performances on Oct. 16, 21, 24, and 27, 2021.

As a result, the role of Adina will be performed by Mané Galoyan on October, 16, Pretty Yende on October 21 and 24, and Aleksandra Kurzak on October 27.

Galoyan and Yende are set to star alongside Matthew Polenzani, while Kurzak will sing alongside Pene Pati. Yende will also take on the Oct. 24 performance with Pati.

The cast will be rounded out by Simone Del Savio, Ambrogio Maestri, and Lucrezia Drei. Giampaolo Bisanti conducts the Lauren Pelly production.

Mancasola is set to return for the last performances on Oct. 30, Nov. 2, and 9, 2021.
