The Opéra de Paris has announced a cast change for its production of “Turandot.”

The company said that Sondra Radvanovsky has withdrawn from the production due to illness.

As a result, Tamara Wilson will perform the title role on Nov. 6, 8, 11, 15, 19, 24, 28, 2023 while Irene Theorin will sing on the ice princess on Nov. 9, 13, 17, and 29, 2023. Finally, Anna Pirozzi will sing the role on Nov. 22 and 26, 2023.

They will join a cast that includes Brian Jagde, Gregory Kunde, Ermonela Jaho, Adriana Gonzalez, and Mika Kares.

“Turandot” is set to be performed between Nov. 6 and 29, 2023 at the Opéra Bastille.

Radvanovsky is set to return to the stage for the Maria Callas gala on Dec. 2, 2023.
