The Opéra de Paris has announced a cast change for its upcoming “Vissi d’arte – Gala Maria Callas.”

The company noted that Eve-Maud Hubeaux will replace Elīna Garanča in the gala and will present arias from “Don Carlo” and “Samson et Dalila.”

Hubeaux will join a cast that includes Sondra Radvanovsky, Pretty Yende, Carole Bouquet, Kate Lindsey, and Florence Boissolle.

The gala will include selections from “Tocsa,” “Macbeth,” “Norma,” “Manon Lescaut,” “La Traviata” and “La Sonnambula.” The concert will also feature excerpts from Terrence McNally’s “Master Class.” There will also be a video clip from Maria Callas’ 1958 concert performing from “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at the Palais Garnier.

The gala will be held on Dec. 2, 2023.
