Opéra de Monte-Carlo Announces Cast Change for ‘Don Carlo’

Opéra de Monte-Carlo has announced a cast change for its production of “Don Carlo.”

The company said, “We would like to inform you that, for personal reasons, Vittorio Grigolo will not be able to perform the title role in our next production of ‘Don Carlo.'”

As a result, he will be replaced by tenor Sergey Skorokhodov.

The company also said, “We would also like to inform you that Giorgi Manoshvili will replace Salvo Vitale in the role of the Friar.”

Skorokhodov and Manoshvili will join a cast that includes Ildar Abdrazakov, Artur Rucinski, Alexey Tikhomirov, Joyce El-Khoury, and Varduhi Abrahamyan.

“Don Carlo” is set to be performed on Nov. 22, 24, and 26 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco.
