The Opera Company of Middlebury announces its Fall 2026 line up.

Here’s a look at the opera events.

Mezzo-soprano Claire McCahan and baritone Adam Richardson perform with the Opera Company of Middlebury Festival String Quartet under the baton of Filippo Ciabatti. The concert features Bach, Purcell, Schumann, and Shostakovich, alongside works by Rebecca Clarke, Jessie Montgomery, Shelley Washington, and George Walker, Matthew LaRocca, and Kyle Saulnier.

Performance Date: Sept. 24, 2026

Ricky Ian Gordon and Mark Campbell’s “Rappahannock County” features Patrick Bessenbacher, Joshua Jeremiah, Claire McCahan, Adam Richardson, and Renée Richardson. Douglas Anderson directs and Filippo Ciabatti conducts. Post-show conversations with the cast and creative team will follow performances, with Gordon joining the opening-night discussion.
