Opéra Comique To Launch Daily Streaming

The Opéra Comique has announced a daily streaming service.

The company will stream one opera per day with a program that includes productions of “Macbeth Underworld,” “L’Inondation,” “Ercole Amante,” “Le Comte Ory,” “La Nonne sanglante,” “Le Timbre d’argent,” “Orphée et Eurydice,” “Manon,” “Miranda” and many other surprises.

The streaming service will begin on March 25.

Additionally on April 15 through 27, two children’s operas will be available www.opera-comique.com/fr.

The company will also run a number of interactive activities that audiences will be able to access on Twitter and Facebook starting April 1.

The Opéra Comique is the latest opera company to stream works during the coronavirus outbreak. Among other companies include the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Massimo, and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
