Cecilia Violetta López, Monica Danilov, Dane Suarez, Meashe Brueggergosman-Lee, Yvette Keong Headline Opera Columbus’ 2025-26 Season

“Rappaccini’s Daughter” is the opener in a production directed by Brandon Shaw McKnight and musical direction by Rolando Salazar. The opera will star Cecilia Violetta López, Monica Danilov, Dane Suarez, Carlos Ahrens, Richard Ollarsaba, Skye Marie Johnson, Cynthia López Olaya, and Anabella Petronsi.
Performance Date: Sept. 19 & 21, 2025
Then comes a production with Beth Morris Projects in the form of “The Old Man and the Sea.” The Paola Prestini and Royce Vavrek work will be directed and co-created by Karmina Silec. Mila Henry conducts a cast that includes Armando Contreras, Rodolfo Girón, Yvette Keong, and Measha Brueggergosman-Lee.
Performance Date: Oct. 10 & 12, 2025
“The Anonymous Lover” arrives in Columbus in a production by Dennis Whitehead Darling and musical direction by Dr. Everett McCorvey.
Performance Date: Feb. 13 & 15, 2026
”La Traviata” gets a showcase directed by Eve Summer and conducted by Rossen Milanov.
Performance Date: April 25 & 26, 2026
Closing out the season is the Cooper-Bing Competition.
