Shakespeare Opera Theatre has announced two American opera productions as part of its America 250 season, running July 10–19, 2026 at Hudson Hall in McLean, Virginia.

Kirke Mechem’s “Tartuffe” stars Michael Pistorio in the title role, with Kristine Overman/Monica Niemi as Mariane, Elizabeth Pope as Dorine, Vincent Fung as Orgon, Eliana Berrean/Emily Warren as Elmire, and Nico Caruso as Valère.

Performance Dates: July 10 – 19, 2026

Carlisle Floyd’s “Susannah” stars Monica Niemi/Kristine Overman in the title role, with James Myers as Olin Blitch, Nico Caruso as Sam Polk, and Kurt Lannetti as Little Bat McLean.
