
Opera Colorado Announces Pay What You Wish Tickets for Will Liverman Concert
By Francisco SalazarOpera Colorado will present an evening at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. for an intimate evening of music with baritone Will Liverman, pianist Elizabeth G. Hill, and special guests with the Pay What You Wish ticket program.
The concert is part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the Ellie Caulkins Opera House and will Pay What You Wish provides added flexibility, with seats available for as little as $1 and a suggested price of $25.
In a statement, Barbara Lynne Jamison, the Ellie Caulkins General Director & CEO said, “This evening will bring people together in one room, sharing a powerful moment in time,”We’re proud to welcome Will Liverman to The Ellie and to offer our community flexibility in how they join us for this milestone evening.”
The concert opens with “At the Statue of Venus,” a comic, one-scene opera performed by soprano Hallie Schmidt and pianist John Morefield, originally commissioned to mark the opening of The Ellie in 2005. Liverman will then takes the stage with pianist Elizabeth G. Hill to perform a diverse compilation of operatic arias, art songs, spirituals, and more.
