Oper Frankfurt is set to present a new production of Donzietti’s “Don Pasquale.”

Simone Di Felice is set to conduct the new staging by Caterina Panti Liberovici which is set to open on Sept. 23 and will run through Oct. 15, 2023 at the Bockenheimer Depot.

The opera will star Božidar Smiljanić and Donato Di Stefano sharing the title role while Mikołaj Trąbka and Liviu Holender will sing the role of Doctor Malatesta. Pablo Martínez and Brayan Avila Martinez will share the role of Ernesto and Bianca Tognocchi and Clara Kim alternate as Norina.

Liberovici is well-known at Oper Frankfurt as she was a director’s assistant at Oper Frankfurt since 2009 and staged her first opera for the company in 2016. She has directed Fioravanti’s “Le cantatrici villane” and Rossini’s “La gazzetta” both in the Bockenheimer Depot.
