Michael Hidetoshi Mori, General Director, and Jaime Martino, Executive Director of Tapestry Opera will attend an event at Ramsden Park in response to receiving the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation grant for $150,000.

The grant enabled Tapestry Opera and its partners, Nightwood Theatre and St. Clare’s Multifaith Social Housing to build Toronto’s most affordable, accessible and well-equipped theatre of its kind in the city.

Mori and Martino will discuss the importance of the grant for the organization and the work being done. Jessica Bell, MPP for University-Rosedale will also attend the event to acknowledge the government grant and its impact on the community. A Tapestry Box Concert is scheduled to take place on the company’s mobile performance stage.

The event will take place on Sept. 15, at 1 p.m.
