On Oct. 6, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is set to present the first act of Wagner’s “Die Walküre” in concert form.

The concert will mark the debut of Omer Meir Wellber with the company. The concert will be broadcast on Radio3 Rai.

The concert will feature Stanislas de Barbeyrac who makes his role debut as Siegmund, Allison Oakes as Sieglinde, and Brindley Sherratt as Hunding. The performance will be the debut of all three soloists at the Teatro Costanzi.

Wellber is currently the Music Director of the Teatro Massimo di Palermo and recently stepped down from his post at the Volksoper Wien. He will become the Music Director of Hamburg in 2025. Wellber returns in February for a concert that will include Mozart’s Requiem.
