Olga Peretyatko has announced she will add two new Rossini roles to her repertoire.

The soprano, who was trained in Pesaro, told Forum Opera that she will add the role of Matilde in “Guillaume Tell” and a role in “Moïse in Egitto” in two years. In the interview, she spoke about how she refused to sing Rosina in ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia” on numerous occasions. However, she said that now she feels comfortable with the role, which she debuts at Orange at the end of the week.

In the interview, Peretyatko noted that she will sing the role of Marie in Tchaikovsky’s “Mazeppa,” which will be her first from the composer and she also commented on the Me Too movement noting that she has never been assaulted and that she believed the movement could help improve the working environment.
