Oksana Lyniv Awarded Bavarian Constitutional Order

Oksana Lyniv has been awarded the Bavarian Constitutional Order.

The conductor was given the prize following a performance of “Tosca” on Sept. 26, 2024.

The company said, “After yesterday’s performance of ‘Tosca,’ we were delighted to welcome the President of the Bavarian State Parliament, Ilse Aigner, to the stage of the national theatre to present the Order. Oksana Lyniv received the award for her extraordinary artistic work, especially as the first female conductor of the Bayreuth Festival, and for her passionate commitment to the teaching of classical music and the promotion of young talent in this field.”

Lyniv is the Music Director of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and has conducted at the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, and Paris Opera, among others.
