Asmik Grigorian, Oksana Lyniv to Make Paris Opera Debuts With Tchaikovsky Concert

The Opéra national de Paris has announced a series of concert performances set to take place between June 6-12, 2021.

Conductor Oksana Lyniv will direct the Orchestre de l’Opéra national de Paris for the very first time in a showcase that will star Étienne Dupuis, Varduhi Abrahamyan, Asmik Grigorian, and Ivan Gyngazov; Grigorian and Gyngazov will be making their Opéra de Paris debuts.

The showcase will feature the overture from “Eugene Onegin” as well as the Letter Scene, Onegin’s aria, the Polonaise, and the final duet. From “Iolanta,” audiences will hear Iolanta’s aria and the love duet.

Finally, after the Marche slave, op. 31, audiences will hear several excerpts from “The Queen of Spades,” including Lisa and Pauline’s duet; Pauline’s aria; Lisa and Hermann’s duet; Yeletski’s aria, and the final scene between Lisa and Hermann.

The performance is expected to last around 150 minutes with one intermission.
