One key event in the festival will be Female Emigrees focusing on the music of Jewish and Latin emigrees including Ursula Mamlok and Tania Leon.

“Imoinda: Story of Love and Slavery” will be performed by soprano Manna K Jones and tenor Robert Mack, with Kyle Walker at the piano. The event is held at Opera America’s Marc Scorca Hall on Oct. 13.
