Obituary: Soprano Maria Moll Dies

Soprano Maria Moll passed away on April 4, 2022.

Moll was an integral performer among many British opera companies including the English National Opera, Welsh National Opera and Opera Scotland from the 1970s to the 1990s. She also performed at the Glyndebourne Festival from 1979 to 1980 in “Die Zauberflote,” “La Fedelta Premiata,” “La Boheme,” and “Fidelio.” Other signature roles included The Witch, Italian Soprano, Fata Morgana, Tosca, Lady Macbeth, and Musetta.

She went on to be featured in video recordings of “Tosca” and “Lady Macbeth of Mtsenk” from the English National Opera with Josephine Barstow and Willard White.

The arrangements for her memorial are staying within the family.
