North / South Consonance to Present ‘Is Spring Right?’

North / South Consonance is set to present “Is Spring Right?” on March 18, 2024 at the National Opera Center in New York.

The showcase will feature sopranos Alina Tamborini and Hannah Spierman alongside pianist Max Lifchitz as they take on a wide-ranging program emphasizing the end of winter and the coming of spring.

The program features Lonnie Hevia’s “Many Named Beloved,” followed by three songs by Max Lifchitz – “Is Spring Right,” “Loneson Tears,” and “Forget Me Not.” The remainder of the program includes Jonathan McNair’s “Rabun Gap,” John McGinn’s “Three Preludes,” and four songs by Joel Rosenbaum, including “Fugue,” “The Lonely Child,” “Two Ways,” and “Notes of Summer.”

The program kicks off at 8 p.m. local time and has a duration of 75 minutes.

Tamborini is a soprano who previously won the World International Voice Competition. Spierman has appeared as a soloist with the Bronx Opera, the Canterbury Choral Society, the New York Choral Society, and Vox Tentationis.
