New York Festival of Song to Present ‘A Goyishe Christmas to You!’

The New York Festival of Song has announced “A Goyishe Christmas to You!” scheduled for Dec. 6 at the Kaufman Music Center.

The performance, which kicks off at 7 p.m., will feature mezzo-soprano Donna Breitzer, canton Joshua Breitzer, baritone Joshua Jeremiah, mezzo-soprano Robecca Jo Loeb, tenor Alex Mansoori, and soprano Lauren Worsham. The singers will be joined by pianist Steven Blier and clarinetist Alan R. Kay.

The showcase will feature Yuletide songs written by Jewish composers including Loesser’s “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and Evans’ “Silver Bells.” There will also be music by Levitsky, Javerbaum, Bernard, Livingston, Marks, Javits, Zimmerman, Tormé, Friedman, and Berlin.

The company is set to open its 2021-22 season on Nov. 16 with a special concert featuring such artists as Paul Appleby, Amanda Lynn Bottoms, Rebecca Jo Loeb, Johnathan McCullough, and Maggie Reneé.
