New York Festival of Song Announces ‘Director’s Pick,’ Starring Gina Perregrino & Mario Diaz-Moresco

To open its 10th season of NYFOS Next, The New York Festival of Song is set to present Director’s Pick on February 13, 2020 that DiMenna Center for Classical Music in New York.

The program, which will be curated by New York Festival of Song’s own Associate Artistic Director Michael Barrett, will emphasize his favorite songs that the organization has brought into the world. The program will star mezzo-soprano Gina Perregrino, baritone Mario Diaz-Moresco, and Barrett at the piano.

The program will include Aaron Jay Kernis’ “Mornings Innocent,” Adam Guettel’s “There Go I,” John Harbison’s “All For You,” two songs from Ned Rorem’s “Evidence of Things Not Seen,” Loweel Liebermann’s “Nice Eyes,” Peter Lieberson’s “O Ihr Zärtlichen,” Errollyn Wallen’s “North,” and Derek Bermel’s “Lucky Number.”

Diaz-Moresco will be making his New York Festival of Song debut with this concert; Perregrino made her NYFOS debut last March as part of the 2019 Schwab Vocal Rising Stars.
