The New Choral Society has announced a cast change for its performance on April 30, 2023.

The company said that Katherine Whyte would replace Kathryn Lewek, who is ill.

Lewek also took to social media and said, “I’m very sad to announce my withdrawal from the New Choral Society’s performance of Haydn’s Creation this Sunday due to illness. Wishing all involved a wonderful performance – it’s such a gorgeous and inspiring piece, especially this time of year!”

Whyte has performed with such companies as Intermountain Opera, San Diego Opera, and Boston University, among others.

She is set to join a cast that includes Jonah Hoskins and Alfred Walker. John T. King conducts the concert which is set to be held at the Hitchcock Presbyterian Church.
