New Camerata Opera’s ‘United We Sing’ to Support City Harvest

By David Salazar

New Camerata Opera is set to present “United We Sing” on Jan. 31, 2021.

The virtual showcase, which aims to benefit City Harvest, is the latest installment in the company’s annual concert aimed at raising funds to support other organizations. In the past, “United We Sing” has supported Sandy Hook Promise, Planned Parenthood, BRC for the Homeless, and Know Your Rights Camp.

City Harvest is New York City’s largest food rescue organization and helps feed 1.2 million New Yorkers struggling to “put meals on their tables.”

“Since its first year in existence, New Camerata Opera has enjoyed giving back to the community. Every year we look forward to banding together with colleagues and curating a benefit that draws attention and raises money for an important charitable cause. NCO believes it’s of vital importance for organizations to pull their weight regardless of their size. Perhaps the most encouraging part of this process is recruiting artists to participate in this event. Our invitations are met with heartfelt acceptance and it’s a testament and validation of the generosity of spirit that permeates our field,” NCO Co-founder and event organizer, Victor Khodadad, told OperaWire.

The concert will be hosted directly on the company’s official Facebook page. To support City Harvest, click here.
