New Camerata Opera’s 2023 Gala features performances by Erik Bagger, Scott Lindroth, Kristin Renee Young, on Sept. 13.

Other soloists include Victor Khodadad, Stan Lacy, Eva Parr, Barbara Porto, Jaclyn Randazzo, and Julia Tang. Also on on the program is the premiere of Hilary Purrington and librettist Hannah McDermott’s animated children’s opera “One Train.” Violetta Zabbi conducts.

New Camerata Opera produced and commissioned the opera film that will be released soon.

Besides its main stage season New Camerata Opera produces opera films including “Julie” by Whitney George and librettist Wallis Darke and “Refractions: “I, too, Sing America” with music by Margaret Bonds set to the words of Langston Hughes. New Camerata Opera also thrives in opera education with its children’s opera programming, “Opera for Kids.”

The gala is held at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie St, NYC) and begins at 6:30 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served alongside an open bar. Cocktail attire encouraged.
