New Amsterdam Opera to Present Boieldieu’s ‘La Dame Blanche’

By Logan Martell

On May 28, 2022 New Amsterdam Opera will present its spring production of “La Dame Blanche,” by Francois-Adrien Boieldieu and librettist Eugene Scribe.

This one-night performance will be performed alongside the New Amsterdam Orchestra and Chorus. Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Keith Chambers leads a cast that’s comprised of Arnold Livingston Geis, Katy Lindhart, Tyler Putnam, Joe Lodato, Kathleen Norchi, Laura Zahn, and Andrew Dwan.

Despite its popularity in Europe, which has seen a number of revivals, this performance will mark the first staging of the work in New York City in 30 years.

The performance will be held at The Center at West Park on 86th Street.
