The National Student Opera Society has announced its first online gala, which is set for Dec. 11, 2020.

The showcase will be hosted by Scottish tenor Nicky Spence and James Clutton, Director of Opera at Opera Holland Park and audiences will get a chance to hear performances from such opera stars as James Platt, Janis Kelly, Austin Gunn, Nicky Spence, Amanda Majeski, John Savournin, and Daniella Sicari.

There will also be a choral rendition of “The Three Kings” comprising members of the National Student Opera Society’s audience as well as previous masterclass participants who will perform alongside guest soloist Roderick Williams.

The National Student Opera Society is a volunteer-run organization that delivers online interviews, masterclasses, workshops, and panels to opera lovers around the world. The gala’s aim is to raise funds to continue supporting the National Student Opera Society’s major activities.
