The National Opera of Ukraine has suspended all performances.

The company noted that due to the Martial Law declared by the President of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, the company will temporarily suspend all performances.

The opera house noted that after the termination of martial law, the theater will resume its work in full. As a result, ticketholders will receive a refund for previously purchased tickets.

The company was set to present productions of “Macbeth” and “Tosca” with international Ukrainian singer Lyudmila Monastyrska.

The opera house held its final performance on Feb. 23 and was celebrating its 154th anniversary.

On Feb. 23, Russia bombed Ukraine and began invading the country. The attack has since seen many musicians condemning war and supporting Ukraine.
