
National Moravian-Silesian Theatre Unveils 2026-27 Opera Slate

Premieres
A staged version of Verdi’s “Requiem” is directed by SKUTR. Marek Šedivý conducts.
Performance Dates: Oct. 25 & 17, 2026
Pavel Vranický’s “Oberon, King Of The Elves” is directed by Magdalena Švecová and conducted by Jakub Kydlíček.
Performance Dates: Feb. 11 & 13, 2027
Juraj Čiernik directs NDM Opera and Musical Studio’s world premiere production of Juraj Čiernik’s “Fables.” Lenka Živocká and Renáta Marcalíková conduct.
Performance Date: March 7, 2027
Bernhard Lang’s “HIOB” is directed by Jiří Nekvasil and conducted by Marek Šedivý.
Performance Dates: April 15 & 17, 2027
“The Dead Eyes” by Eugen d’Albert is directed by Jiří Nekvasil. Sander Teepen conducts.
Performance Dates: June 17 & 19, 2027
Revivals
First up is Rossini’s “Moses and Pharaoh.” David Švec and Lukás Kovarik conduct, and Vladimír John directs.

Puccini’s “Tosca” is conducted by Adam Sedlický and Marek Šedivý. Jiří Nekvasil directs.
Performance Dates: Sept. 13, 2026 – Feb. 27, 2027
Prokofiev’s “The Gambler” returns to the stage with Marek Šedivý conducting and Jiří Nekvasil directing. The cast includes Josef Benci, Anna Nitrová, Luciano Mastro, Lucie Hájková, Raman Hasymau, and Bence Szabó, among others.
Performance Dates: Sept. 16, 2026 – May 4, 2027
Dvořák’s “Rusalka” stars Veronika Rovná and Katerina Knezíková in the title role. Joining them are Martin Gurbal, Frantisek Zahradnícek, Luciano Mastro, Martin Srejma, Václava Krejcí Housková, Katerina Jalovcová, and Sárka Hrbácková, among others.

Puccini’s “Turnadot” is conducted by Marek Šedivý and directed by Rocc.
Performance Dates: Nov. 21, 2026 – April 28, 2027
Verdi’s “Nabucco” is conducted by Jiří Habart and Adam Sedlický. Jiří Nekvasil directs.
