Nathan & Julie Gunn To Perform At Musco Center For Arts At Chapman University

Nathan Gunn and his wife Julie Gunn will appear together at the Musco Center for the Arts at Chapman University on Oct. 28, 2018.

The performance will feature works of Mozart, Bernstein, Tom Waits, Kurt Weill, and others. The duo will also offer up a master class the following day to the Musco Center’s Master Class program.

“I am pleased to have this brilliant duo perform on the Musco stage and present their exemplary musical talents to students and the surrounding community,” said Dr. William Hall, Musco Center Dean, and Artistic Director in a press release. “Nathan and Julie Gunn reveal great depths of artistry and charisma that will resonate throughout Musco’s world-class concert hall.”

Both Gunns are co-directors of the School of Music’s Lyric Theatre at the University of Illinois, They are also are professors at the University of Illinois with Julie Gunn as a professor of accompanying and Nathan Gunn working as a professor of voice.

Nathan Gunn was also named to the Swandlund Chair.
