Natalie Dessay & Philippe Jaroussky Lead Opéra de Massy’s 2024-25 Season

The Opéra de Massy has announced its 2024-25 season. Here is a look at the vocal performances.

Thomas’ “Hamlet” opens the season with conductor Hervé Niquet and director Frank Van Laecke. Armando Noguera, Florie Valiquette, Patrick Bolleire, Ahlima Mhamdi, Kaelig Boché, and Yoann Le Lan star.

Performance Dates: Nov. 15 & 17, 2024

“Solomon: a serenata de William Boyce” will be conducted by David Stern and will feature soloists from Opera Fuoco.

Performance Date: Nov. 28, 2024

Philippe Jaroussky will sing alongside Jérôme Ducros in a program of music by Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Hahn, Fauré, and Debussy.

Performance Date: Dec. 7, 2024

Offenbach’s “La Belle Hélène” will be conducted by Dominique Rouits and directed by Olivier Desbordes. The operetta will star Ahlima Mhamdi, Raphaël Jardin, Matthieu Toulouse, Thibault de Damas, Alfred Bironien, and Analia Telega.

Performance Dates: Dec. 13 & 14, 2024

Constantin Rouits conducts Verdi’s “Il Trovatore,” which will be directed by Roberta Mattelli.

Performance Dates: Jan. 16-18, 2025

“Le Carnaval baroque” will feature conductor Vincent Dumestre and direction by Cécile Roussat. Anaïs Bertrand, Paco Garcia, Martial Paulia, and Igor Bouin star.

Performance Dates: Feb. 7 & 8, 2025

Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” will be conducted by David Stern and directed by Héloïse Serazin

Performance Dates: April 5 & 6, 2025

Le Concert Spirituel and Hervé Niquet will perform Fauré’s Requiem alongside music by Charles Gounod and Camille Saint-Saëns.

Performance Date: April 8, 2025

Antonín Dvořák’s “Rusalka” will be conducted by Kaspar Zehnder and directed by Paul-Émile Fourny. Serenad Uyar, Misha Schelomianski, Ewandro Stenzowski, Marion Lebègue, Lucie Peyramaure, and Simona Caressa headline the production.

Performance Date: May 16 & 18, 2025

“La Petite Sirène” will be conducted by Raoul Lay and directed by Bérénice Collet.

Performance Dates: May 23, 2025
