Musica Viva NY to Explore Nature and New Works with ‘In Nature’s Realm’ Concert

On March 27, 2022, Musica Viva NY will celebrate springtime with their “In Nature’s Realm” concert.

The program will be comprised of works drawing from a variety of styles, exploring nature and human’s place within it. It will include “The Peaceable Kingdom” by Randall Thompson, “Earthrise” by Alex Roth, “Vesper Sparrow” by Missy Mazzoli,” and the world premiere of “Momotombo” a new work commissioned by MVNY from composer Gilda Lyons.

Artistic Director and conductor Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez will lead the Musica Viva NY choir and organist Trent Johnson.

Based in Manhattan’s historic All Souls Church, Musica Viva NY seeks to bring world-class music to a growing audience through their annual concert series, outreach programs, and artistic vision.
