Cathedral of St. John the Divine’s 2019-20 season of Great Music in a Great Space will begin later this month with “Music for a Gothic Space.”

Kent Tritle will lead the a cappella concert, featuring the acclaimed New York-based ensemble Musica Sacra. The program is set to include Machaut’s “Messe de Nostre Dame,” hauntingly beautiful motets of Josquin des Prez, and Gregorian Chant.

The performance will take place at the Cathedral on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019. A recital by the Newark Boys Chorus School, starting at 7 pm, will precede the concert.
