Music Before 1800 announces its 2026-27 and 52nd season.
Here is a list of the opera-related performances.
An instrumental adaptation of Tomás de Torrejón y Velasco’s opera “La Púrpura de la Rosa” (“The Blood of the Rose”) is performed by Relic.
Performance Date: Oct. 4, 2026
Mezzo-soprano Gaia Petrone and tenor Andrès Montilla Acurero are soloists in the American debut of “De la Vida Deste Mundo.” They are joined by the ensemble, Musica Antiqua Latina.

ModernMedieval Voices featuring Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, Martha Cluver, and Chloe Holgate present “La Santísima Virgen Maria,” which includes works from the “Llibre Vermell de Montserrat” and the “Cantigas de Santa Maria,” as well a works by composer Laura Jobin-Acosta,
