Monica Danilov & Hyalmar Mitrotti to Present ‘Les Jeudis du Pasteur: Vive la France’

Mezzo-soprano Monica Danilov and bass Hyalmar Mitrotti will perform in recital on May 18, 2023 as part of the “Les Jeudis du Pasteur: Vive la France.”

The performance, which takes place at the Auditorio del Liceo Francés in Bogotá, Colombia, will feature pianist Sergei Sichkov.

The program will include music by Fauré, Poulenc, Saint-Saëns, Duparc, Bizet, Gounod, Piaf, Brel, and Kosma, among others.

The duo recently collaborated on a production of “Maria de Buenos Aires,” with Danilov in the title role and Mitrotti directing the production.

Danilov has performed at the Museo Nacional de Bogotá, Teatro Metropoliano, Teatro Colón de Bogotá, Teatro Colsubsidio, Teatro Julio Mario Santo Domingo, Teatro centro de arte, Teatro Sanchez Aguilar, the Kennedy Center, Americas Society, 92nd Street Y, Avery Fischer Hall, Cairo Opera House, and Salle Ibn Khaldoun-Radio Algerie, among others.

Mitrotti is a regular at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo where he has appeared in productions of “L’Elisir d’Amore,” “Tosca,” and “Le Nozze di Figaro.”
