Miranda Richardson To Make Royal Opera Debut

The Royal Opera House has announced that Miranda Richardson will make her Royal Opera House debut.

The renowned actress will perform the speaking role of the Duchesse de Crakentorp in Donizetti’s “La Fille du régiment.”

The English actress is a two time Academy Award nominee, BAFTA Award winner, Olivier nominee, and seven-time Golden Globe nominee. Her films include “The Hours,” “Spider,” ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,”  The Young Victoria, Made in Dagenham, Belle, and Stronger. She is also well known for her theater work and television work.

Richardson will join a cast that includes Sabine Devieilhe, Javier Camarena, and Pietro Spagnoli. The Laurent Pelly production is set to be conducted by Evelino Pidò.

Performances open on July 8 and run through July 20, 2019.
