Michelle Drever, Sunwoo Park, José Luis Maldonado, Ben Lowe, Jesús León Headline The Opera Buffs’ ‘An Evening of Donizetti’
By David SalazarThe Opera Buffs are set to present “An Evening of Donizetti” on May 13, 2022.
The company will present two scenes from Acts one and two from “Lucia di Lammermoor” followed by Act one from “La Fille du Régiment.”
“Lucia” will star Michelle Drever in the title role with Ben Lowe as Enrico, Jesús León as Edgardo, Chris Hunter as Arturo, and Tivoli Treloar as Alisa. For the “Fille du Régiment” portion of the concert, audiences will hear Sunwoo Park as Marie, José Luis Maldonado as Suplice, Arnold Geis as Tonio, and Marina Harris as the Marquise de Berkenfield.
Brent McMunn will conduct.
The showcase will take place at the Zipper Hall in Colburn High School in Los Angeles, CA.
