The Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie has announced its 2022-23 season.

Opera

Ainārs Rubiķis conducts Verdi’s “Aida” in a production by Annabel Arden. The opera stars Sunyoung Seo, Ketevan Kemoklidze, Amadi Lagha, Leon Kim, and Jacques Greg-Belobo.

Noëlle Gény leads “Bach et le sacré.”

Performance Date: Oct. 16, 2022

Noëlle Gény conducts “Musiques sacrées”

Performance Date: Dec. 11, 2022

De New York à London will be conducted by Noëlle Gény.

Performance Date: Dec. 18, 2022

Constantin Trinks leads Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” in a production of Anna Bernreitner. Rihan Lois, Rainelle Krause, Claire de Sevigné, Norma Nahoun, Amitai Pati, In Sung Sim, Mikhail Timoshenko, and Benoît Rameau star.

“De l’opérette à l’opéra-bouffe” will be conducted by Noëlle Gény.

Gluck’s “Iphigénie en Tauride” will be conducted by Pierre Dumoussaud and directed by Rafael R. Villalobos. Vannina Santoni, Jean-Sébastien Bou, Valentin Thill, Armando Noguera, and Louise Foor.

Schumann’s “Scènes du Faust de Goethe” will be conducted by Michael Schønwandt and directed by Julian Rosefeldt. The cast includes Brian Mulligan, Eleonor Lyons, Ilker Arcayurek, and Polly Leech.

Performance Dates: May 12 & 14, 2023

Jean-Marie Zeitouni conducts Massenet’s “Grisélidis” with Vannina Santoni, Frédéric Antoun, Thomas Dolié, Antoinette Dennefeld, Tassis Christoyannis, Adèle Charvet, Thibault de Damas, and Adrien Fournaison.

Performance Date: June 2, 2023 & July 4, 2023 at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées

Noëlle Gény conducts “100 ans de romantisme.”

Performance Date: June 4, 2023

“Orfeo” by Antonio Sartorio will be conducted by Philippe Jaroussky and directed by Benjamin Lazar. Arianna Vendittelli, Ana Quintans, Kangmin Justin Kim, Céline Scheen, Yannis François, Paul Figuier, and David Webb.
