Michael Fabiano, Adriana Gonzalez & Juan Jesus Rodriguez Lead Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg’s 2021-22 Season

The Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg has announced its 2021-22 seaso featuring dance, opera, musical theater and theater.

Here is a look at the four operatic performances that will be presented.

James Gray directs a new production of Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” starring John Chest, Adrian Gonzalez, Robert Gleadow, Florie Valiquette, and Elenore Pancrazi. Jeremie Rhorer conducts the production.

Performance Dates: Oct. 6-10, 2021

Juan Jesus Rodriguez stars in the title role of Verdi’s “Rigoletto” alongside Rocio Perez and Alexey Tatarintsev. Alexander Joel conducts the production which also stars Francesca Ascioti and Onay Kose.

Performance Dates: Nov. 17-21, 2021

Michael Fabiano and Eve-Maud Hubeaux star in Bizet’s “Carmen” with Anne-Catherine Gillet and Jean-Sebastian Bou. Dmitri Tcherniakov directs the production with Jose Miguel Perez -Sierra conducting.

Performance Dates: March 6-10, 2022

Marie-Claude Chappuis, Emőke Baráth, Jarrett Ott, and Marie Lys star in Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas” with Franck Chartier directing. Emmanuelle Haim conducts.

Performance Dates: April 27 & 29, 2022
