Mezzo.TV to Broadcast ‘Les pêcheurs de perles’ with Juan Diego Flórez & Kristina Mkhitaryan

Mezzo.TV is set to present a new production of Bizet’s “Les pêcheurs de perles.”

The new production will be broadcast on May 29 from the Wiener Staatsoper in a new production by Ersan Mondtag.

Daniele Rustioni conducts an all-star that includes Kristina Mkhitaryan as Leila, Juan Diego Flórez as Nadir, Ludovic Tézier as Zurga, and Ivo Stanchev as Nourabad.

Mondtag works as a director, stage and costume designer and visual artist. He has directed at the Berliner Ensemble, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Residenztheater Munich, the operas in Lyon and Rome and the Burgtheater.

“Les pêcheurs de perles” is set to open on May 14 and is set to run through May 29. The production will be revived during the 2-2026-27 season.
