Metropolitan Opera Announces Two Cast Changes for ‘Lohengrin’

The Metropolitan Opera has announced cast changes for its performance of “Lohengrin” on March 21.

The company said that for the performance “the role of Ortrud will be sung by Rebecca Nash replacing Christine Goerke. Meanwhile, the part of Telramund will be sung by Thomas Hall replacing Evgeny Nikitin.

Nash made her Met debut last season as “Elektra” and already performed Ortrud on March 10 replacing Goerke. Hall made his Met debut this season as Telramund performing on March 2 and 5.

Both artists join a cast that includes Piotr Beczala, Brian Mulligan, Tamara Wilson, and Günther Groissböck. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the production by Francois Girard.
