The Metropolitan Opera has announced a cast change for its production of “Aida.”

The company said that Angela Meade will sing the title role of Verdi’s Aida on April 27, 30 and May 6, 10, and soprano Leah Crocetto will complete the run on May 13 and 18, both replacing Michelle Bradley, who has withdrawn for personal reasons.

Meade recently performed the title role of “Norma” and Elisabetta in “Don Carlo” at the Met. Crocetto made her Met debut in 2015 in a production of “Turandot.”

The two sopranos will join a cast that includes Olesya Petrova, Marcelo Álvarez, George Gagnidze, Christian Van Horn, and Krzysztof Bączyk. Paolo Carignani conducts the legendary production by Sonja Frisell.
