Metropolitan Opera Announces 5-Day Special Event ‘Harry Connick, Jr: A Celebration of Cole Porter’
By David SalazarThe Metropolitan Opera has announced that it will be presenting “Harry Connick, Jr: A Celebration of Cole Porter,” a five-day special presentation from Jan. 29- Feb. 2, 2025.
The showcase is a revival of Connick’s 2019 Broadway production and is presented in association with Adrienne Arsht.
“This show has been a project that’s incredibly close to my heart, so to bring it to the Met’s stage is an unbelievable privilege. Singing the songs of Cole Porter, a quintessential New Yorker, at this preeminent New York institution will be a career highlight for me,” said Connick in an official press release issued by the Met
Connick is a notable actor who has received Grammy, Emmy, and Tony nominations for his work. He is also in the recent Netflix movie “Find Me Falling.”
