Met Opera 2021-22 Season: Here Is All The Information For This Season’s Live in HD Performances

Oct. 9, 2021 – Boris Godunov
René Pape headlines a cast that includes Alexey Markov, Stanislav Trofimov, David Butt Philip, Ain Anger, and Maxim Paster. Sebastian Weigle conducts. The opera will be presented in its original 1869 version.
Oct. 23, 2021 – Fire Shut Up in My Bones
The Met Premiere of Terence Blanchard will star Angel Blue, Latonia Moore, and Will Liverman. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts.
Dec. 4, 2021 – Eurydice
The Met premiere of Matthew Aucoin and Sarah Ruhl’s new opera will star Erin Morley, Joshua Hopkins, and Jakub Józef Orliński. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts.
Jan. 1, 2022 – Cinderella
Massenet’s opera will be presented in an English-language translation with a cast starring Isabel Leonard, Jessica Pratt, Emily D’Angelo, Stephanie Blythe, and Laurent Naouri. Emmanuel Villaume conducts.
Jan. 29, 2022 – Rigoletto
Bartlett Sher’s new production of the Verdi classic will star Rosa Feola, Piotr Beczala, and Quinn Kelsey. Daniele Rustioni conducts.
March 12, 2022 – Ariadne auf Naxos
Marek Janowski conducts Lise Davidsen, Brenda Rae, Isabel Leonard, Brandon Jovanovich, Sean Michael Plumber, and Johannes Martin in Strauss’ masterpiece.
March 26, 2022 – Don Carlos
Audiences will get a chance to see Verdi’s famed opera in its original French version for the first time in its history. Yannick Nézet-Séguin will conduct a cast that includes Sonya Yoncheva, Elina Garanca Matthew Polenzani, Étienne Dupuis, Günther Groissböck, and John Relyea.
May 7, 2022 – Turandot
Anna Netrebko takes on the title role alongside Yonghoon Lee and Michelle Bradley. Marco Armiliato conducts.
May 21, 2022 – Lucia di Lammermoor
Nadine Sierra headlines Donizetti’s dramatic masterpiece alongside Artur Rucinski, Javier Camarena, Matthew Rose, and Riccardo Frizza.
June 4, 2022 – Hamlet
Nicholas Carter leads the new opera with a cast including Brenda Rae, Rod Gilfry, Allan Clayton, Sarah Connolly, and Sir John Tomlison.
