Melba Opera Trust and the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) have announced a new partnership, the “Salon Series – Beautiful Music in Historic Venues.”

The collaboration brings a Melba Opera Trust’s up-and-coming artists into some of Victoria’s greatest historic heritage properties. The inaugural “Salon Series” will take place at three historic venues around Melbourne including the Pentridge Prison, Labassa Mansion, and Como House. Performances feature the 2024 Melba Artists and Melba alumni.

Amy Black, CEO of Melba Opera Trust, said in a press release, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with National Trust of Australia (Victoria) to deliver this ‘Salon Series.’ It’s such a natural fit: bringing an age-old artform back into stunning venues of another
era.”
