Opera Southwest Announces 2026-27 Season

Opera Southwest has announced its 2026-27 season.

MainStage 

The season opens with Mascagni’s “Cavalleria rusticana” with Robert Mollicone conducting and Madeleine Snow directing. The cast will include Max Potter as Santuzza, and Jeremy Brauner as Turiddu.

Performance Dates: Oct. 25 – Nov. 1, 2026


Timothy Mix sings the title role of Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunov” with Anthony Barrese conducting and Keturah Stickann directing. 

Performance Dates: Feb. 14- 21, 2027


Daniel Catán’s “Salsipuedes: A Tale of Love, War, and Anchovies” will be presented.

Performance Dates: April 18 – 25, 2027

Other Events

Hector Armienta’s “The Farolitos of Christmas”with stage direction by John de los Santos.

Performance Dates: Dec. 5-6, 2026


The New Year’s Eve concert will be conducted by Anthony Barrese.

Performance Date: Dec. 31, 2026
