Janáček’s “From the House of the Dead” is set to be presented from May 23 to 30 at the Opera di Roma.

The production will be directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski, in his Italian debut. The production is a co-production with the Royal Opera House Covent Garden di Londra, La Monnaie, and l’Opéra national de Lyon.

Dmitry Matvienko also makes his Italian debut with a cast that includes Mark S. Doss, Pascal Charbonneau, Štefan Margita, Erin Caves, Julian Hubbard, Marcello Nardis, Pawel Żak, Michael J. Scott, Christopher Lemmings, and Colin Judson.

The first performance on May 23 will be broadcasted on Rai Radio 3 and on Nov. 16, audiences will get to check out a TV broadcast on RaCultura and Rai 5.
