Opera La Vegas Announces 2026-27 Season

Opera Las Vegas has announced its 2026-27 season.

The season opens with Rossini’s “L’italiana in Algeri” with Laurel Semerdjian (Isabella), Matthew Hanscom (Taddeo), Joshua Hughes (Mustafà), and former OLV/UNLV Studio Artist Christian Shelton (Lindoro).

Performance Dates: October 2026


“Cruzar la Cara de la Luna” will be performed in collaboration with Mariachi Plata of the College of Southern Nevada. The project is particularly important given the strong presence of mariachi programs in the Clark County School District (over 6,000 students).

Performance Dates: February 2027


Grammy Award–winning soprano Ana María Martínez will perform in concert, accompanied by Nathan Salazar.

Performance Dates: May 2027


The season will close with Verdi’s “Aida.”

Performance Dates: June 2027.
