Marin Alsop Appears on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show;’ Receives Donation for Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship

Pilot Pen a season-long partner of The Kelly Clarkson Show has donated $1,000 to Marin Alsop’s Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship in support of the organization #purplebaton campaign, a global social media movement advancing the careers of women conductors in classical music.

The donation was made during the Kelly Clarkson show when Marin Alsop appeared in a live video interview in celebration of Women’s History Month.

During the show, Pink, who is filling in for Clarkson interviewed Alsop about her upcoming performance leading the Webern Symphony Orchestra at Vienna’s Musikverein. Alsop also spoke about the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship and the community it has built throughout the world.

This month Alsop conducts the Philharmonic Orchestra and goes on tour with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is an American daytime television variety talk show hosted by singer Kelly Clarkson that launched in 2019. She teamed ups with Pilot Pen to highlight community-focused initiatives, including the $100,000 G2 Overachievers Grant awarded to individuals making a significant impact.
