
Mariana Poltorak to Perform in 22nd Festival of Polish Music in Kraków
By Afton MarkaySoprano Mariana Poltorak is set to present a recital at the 22nd Festival of Polish Music in Kraków.
The “Acroama Magistrorum” master recital series at the Aula Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University will be devoted to Polish songs and Polish opera arias. The program will feature works by Karol Szymanowski, Tadeusz Szeligowski, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Stanisław Moniuszko, Ludomir Różycki, and Władysław Żeleński. She will be joined by pianist Dominika Peszko.
Poltorak is currently working on her doctoral research devoted to solo songs by 20th-century composers from Lviv. She is a member of the “Opera Academy” Young Talents Development Programme at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera and in 2025, won the Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Competition.
