The Salle Gaveau in Paris has announced a cast change for Plácido Domingo’s recital on June 21, 2021.

The concert hall announced that due to unforeseeable circumstances Saioa Hernandez was forced to withdraw from the recital. As a result, María José Siri will replace Hernandez.

Siri recently performed with Domingo in Madrid and sang a production of “Adriana Lecouvreur” at the Teatro de las Palmas. She has performed at the Arena di Verona, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro alla Scala, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Gran Teatre del Liceu, and Wiener Staatsoper.

The concert will showcase the two singers in works by Verdi, Thomas, and Giordano. Mathieu Herzog conducts l’orchestre Appasionnato.
